Baby Girl’s First Mama-knit
I’m not a fan of the whole “pink for girls, blue for boys” thing, and I always try to choose bold, happy colors when knitting for the wee ones. This pink superwash merino from Malabrigo Yarn found its way into my stash several months ago. Malabrigo’s gorgeous hand-dyed colors, commitment to sustainability, and ability to make superwash wool yarns without using harmful chemicals has recently made them my number one choice for all my knitted baby items.
I loved using it for Baby Girl’s first mama-knit item. The pattern is Baby Tea Leaves Sweater. I did not have enough yarn to make the full length of the sleeves as written in pattern. I decided on cap sleeves rather than where mine ended (approx elbow-length).
I’m still on the fence about what buttons to use, so I’ll update later once I’ve made my choice.
