Carrier Oils and Other Ingredients

Fractionated Coconut Oil

This type of coconut oil stays liquid at room temperature. It is my carrier oil of choice for most roller bottles and capsules.

Coconut Oil

This type of coconut oil is solid at cooler temperatures but melts on contact with skin. I use it in my balm, butter and lotion recipes.

Jojoba Oil

Jojoba oil is a nice carrier oil for most facial care and hair products. I use this as my facial “cleanser.”

Cocoa Butter

This cocoa butter has been deodorized which means that the natural chocolate-y scent won’t overpower the essential oil aromas of your body butters or lotions.

Shea Butter

Shea butter is rich and moisturizing, making it the base of choice for most body butters and lotions.

Using beeswax pellets makes it easier to measure when doubling or halving recipes.
