We are discerning when it comes to which products we use in our homes and what we feed our child. We read labels and want to know the source. This also applies to how we choose which essential oils to use. Quality matters. Young Living cultivates, harvests, and distills oils on farms that they own or partner with so they have the unique ability to verify purity and quality at every step of the process. We appreciate the extensive laboratory testing and third-party audits, and it’s no wonder they have routinely exceeded industry-leading quality standards since 1993. They are global stewards of our planet.
There are many brands of essential oils available, and while there are other reputable brands, we only use Young Living (YL) in our recipes. YL uses non-GMO seeds, and sustainable farming practices (no chemical pesticides or fertilizers). We appreciate that we can visit their farms across the world. We know their oils are unadulterated and they don’t use fillers, toxic extenders, or synthetic materials. YL only uses first distillation oils for maximum potency (i.e. when you use a tea bag for a strong cup of tea, instead of re-using it to make a second or third weaker cup). Thus, it may require many more drops from another brand, to achieve what a single drop of YL oil can do. They are pure enough to use on our children, and we don’t take that lightly.
YL follows and tests every batch of oil from when the seed is planted in the ground through the seal being placed on the bottle before it is sent out. They are the only company that offers a SEED to SEAL guaratantee. Learn more by watching this video:
